Research on Resonance Overvoltage of EHV Transmission Lines Caused by Lightning Strike

This paper studies the mechanism and influencing factors of resonance overvoltage EHV transmission lines caused by lightning. By analyzing time domain steady state simplified circuit, physical is revealed. The characteristics transient process waveform are analyzed using electromagnetic simulation. main amplitude also studied. results show that: 1) During uneven open-phase conditions, resonant circuit involving shunt inductors line equivalent capacitor obtains energy from lightning strikes, which may lead to resonance. 2) can be divided into three stages, including stage, lightning-resonance conversion stage steady-state among voltage first two stages higher; 3) strike time, current parameters subsequent affect on amplitude, leads random in overvoltage.
